Help me!!! 1900s immigration?

I searched on google, and stuff like that but i cant find anything. i have tried sooo many searches, but i cannot find a good,common location of immigration.I am doing a history project and i am so confused about where most immigrants came from. I have to write a fictional story of an immigrant traveling from_____ to ellis island to america. i have to also find a ship that traveled from _____ and transported early 1900s immigrants. The problem is, i have no idea on where to pretend i came from. any suggestions for places in Europe or ships? Websites are also helpful.
