Is paula right, do opposites attract?

If you base it on psychology books, then this is false. I however believe that everything is relative to each situation. Has anyone been in a serious relationship with someone who had completely different interests and things worked out? I've been in a relationship for 3 years and have lived with and worked with them the entire time. Yes, that means 3 years of being around each other ALL THE TIME. It seems like everything I like, she hates...and everything she likes, I hate!!! We don't have anything in common, yet we still are together. It's frustrating, but I guess it works. Has anyone else experienced this?
