I need hlp avoiding a bsod plz hlp?

how come when i install vista ultimate on my built from ground dust(built by my self) it displays a BSOD randomly but does not display a BSOD on the factory made computer? why is that. please don't put anything like "oh because u a noob at doing this". be serious yes everything is hooked up corretly nothing hanging.
