Can you have daughters and sons on the game "The Sims 2" for PS2?

I heard that you can't give birth and adopt. But they say that you can only have adults, does that mean that instead of having young children and babies, you have daughters and sons that look like adults and act like it? And they don't get pregnant right. This sucks. Anyways, whats the alien abduction for? If there not even gonna get pregnant? WHY WON'T THEY GET PREGNANT! Did they just forget to make them become pregnant on the PS2!?!?!?! And they can have right. By clicking "Woo hoo" and can you have a wedding? I think that there is a proposal but can they have weddings? And can I decorate and think of the wedding?
