Is there a chance of recovery from a blood clot in the brain?

That's too bad for such a young kid... People can recover to varying degrees; the best outcomes happen if people get treated within 3 hours of the onset of symptoms, which it doesn't sound like happened in this case. It is very hard to predict what will happen at this point, but some people get back most of their functioning; others have noticeable deficits that are permanent.
